The Solidify Modifier extrudes a mesh surface to give it thickness. It is essential for turning flat planes into solid objects like walls, clothing, and glass panes.
Where to Find It
Select a mesh, go to Modifiers panel > Add Modifier > Solidify.
How to Use
- Thickness: Controls how thick the resulting solid object becomes.
- Offset: -1 extrudes outward, 1 extrudes inward, 0 centers the thickness.
- Fill Rim: Creates geometry on the edges of the solidified surface.
Pro Tips
- Use negative Thickness for inward extrusion.
- Enable Even Thickness for more accurate results on curved surfaces.
