Extrude region:EExtrude individual:E
The Extrude Tool duplicates selected vertices, edges, or faces and moves the new geometry outward. It is the most essential modeling tool for creating 3D shapes from 2D starting points.
Where to Find It
In Edit Mode, press E or use Mesh > Extrude > Extrude Region.
How to Use
- Extrude region: Select faces or edges in Edit Mode, press E, then move the mouse.
- Extrude individual: Press E then I to extrude each face individually.
- Extrude along normals: Press E then Alt+S to scale along normals.
- Confirm: Left-click to confirm, right-click to cancel.
Pro Tips
- Use Ctrl+right-click to extrude directly to the mouse cursor position.
- Extrude is the fastest way to build complex shapes from simple primitives.
