Cloth Simulation creates realistic fabric behavior. It simulates folding, draping, stretching, and collision with other objects for clothing and soft materials.
Where to Find It
Select a mesh, go to Physics Properties > Cloth. Add a collision object with the Collision physics type.
How to Use
- Quality: Higher steps = better results but slower simulation.
- Stiffness: Controls how much the fabric resists bending and stretching.
- Damping: Reduces jittery motion for more stable simulations.
- Self Collision: Prevents the cloth from passing through itself.
Pro Tips
- Add subdivision surface for smoother cloth before simulation.
- Pin vertex groups by assigning weight paint to keep parts of cloth in place.
