Key Settings
Select the clip:Ripple Delete:Shift+DeleteMultiple clips:
Ripple Delete removes a selected clip from the timeline and automatically closes the gap created by its removal. It is faster than deleting a clip and then manually closing the gap with the Ripple Edit Tool.
Where to Find It
Right-click a clip and choose Ripple Delete, or press Shift+Delete (Shift+Backspace) with the clip selected.
How to Use
- Select the clip: Click on the clip you want to remove with the Selection Tool.
- Ripple Delete: Press Shift+Delete (Shift+Backspace). The clip is removed and the gap closes automatically.
- Multiple clips: Select multiple clips and Ripple Delete to remove them all and close the combined gap.
- Gaps only: Click on an empty gap and Ripple Delete to remove the gap without affecting adjacent clips.
