The Razor Tool cuts clips at the playhead position, splitting them into two separate clips. Essential for removing unwanted footage and creating precise edits.
Where to Find It
Press C or select the razor blade icon in the toolbar.
How to Use
- Cut: Click on a clip at the playhead position to split it.
- Multi-cut: Hold Shift and click to cut all tracks at once.
- Remove: Select the unwanted segment and press Delete.
Pro Tips
- Use Ctrl+K (Cmd+K) to cut all clips under the playhead without switching tools.
- Combine with Ripple Delete (Shift+Delete) to close gaps automatically.
