The Hand Tool navigates your timeline and program monitor by panning the view. It is essential for moving around zoomed-in timelines and large projects. Hold the Spacebar for temporary access while using any other tool.
Where to Find It
Press H or select the hand icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the interface.
How to Use
- Pan: Click and drag to move the timeline or program monitor view.
- Temporary: Hold Spacebar to temporarily switch from any tool to the Hand Tool.
- Scroll horizontally: Use the scroll wheel while hovering over the timeline.
- Zoom: Hold Ctrl (Cmd) and scroll to zoom in and out.
