Closed Captions & Subtitles make your content accessible. Premiere Pro supports multiple caption formats and can create, edit, and export captions.
Where to Find It
Window > Text panel, then click the Captions tab. Or File > New > Captions.
How to Use
- Create: Open the Text panel, click New Caption. Set format (SRT, SCC, etc.) and style.
- Edit: Type or paste captions. Adjust timing by dragging caption blocks in the timeline.
- Import: Drag an .SRT or .SCC file onto the timeline to import existing captions.
- Export: Include captions in your export settings. They can be burned in or embedded.
Pro Tips
- Use automatic speech recognition in the Text panel for quick caption generation.
- Export .SRT files for YouTube or social media where closed captions are preferred.
