Audio Gain & Normalization adjusts the volume level of individual clips. Gain controls the input level, while Normalization analyzes the clip and sets the level to a target peak or loudness standard.
Where to Find It
Right-click an audio clip in the timeline and choose Audio Gain, or press G with the clip selected.
How to Use
- Adjust Gain: Enter a positive value to increase volume or negative value to decrease it.
- Normalize Peak: Set the target peak level (e.g., -3dB) and Premiere adjusts the gain automatically.
- Normalize Loudness: Use ITU-R BS.1770 loudness normalization for broadcast compliance.
- Max Amplitude: View current peak levels to identify clipping or quiet clips.
