The Anchor Point Tool converts anchor points between corner (sharp) and smooth (curved) types. It also allows you to adjust individual direction handles for precise curve control.
Where to Find It
Press Shift+C or select it from the Pen Tool flyout in the toolbar.
How to Use
- Convert to corner: Click on a smooth point to convert it to a corner point.
- Convert to smooth: Drag from a corner point to pull out direction handles.
- Break handles: Drag one handle independently to create an asymmetric curve.
- Rejoin handles: Drag from the center of a broken handle to rejoin them.

- Use to create sharp transitions in otherwise smooth curves.
- Independent handles give you maximum control over complex path shapes.
