The Add Anchor Point Tool places new anchor points on existing paths, giving you more control points for detailed path editing.
Where to Find It
Nested under the Pen Tool. Press + while the Pen Tool is active, or select it from the flyout.
How to Use
- Add point: Click anywhere on an existing path to add a new anchor point.
- Preview: A small plus sign appears when hovering over the path.
- Edit: Switch to the Direct Selection Tool to adjust the new point.
Pro Tips
- Add points only where needed for more precise control of curves.
- Too many anchor points can make paths difficult to edit smoothly.
