The Scale Tool resizes selected layers and their contents proportionally. Unlike dragging corner handles, the Scale Tool also scales stroke widths, text sizes, and effects.
Where to Find It
Press K or select the Scale icon from the toolbar (nested under the Move Tool).
How to Use
- Scale: Select layers, press K, then click and drag to scale proportionally.
- Contents: All properties including text size, stroke width, and effects scale together.
- Confirm: Press Enter or click away to confirm the scale operation.
Pro Tips
- Use the Scale Tool when resizing icons or elements with strokes to maintain consistent proportions.
- Hold Alt while scaling to scale from the center of the selection.
