The Select Lasso Tool draws a freeform shape to select objects or mesh components. It is perfect for irregular selection areas that don't fit a box.
Where to Find It
Nested under the Select Box tool in the toolbar. Click and hold the Select Box icon to access it.
How to Use
- Select: Click and drag around the area you want to select, then release.
- Add: Hold Shift while drawing to add to the selection.
- Subtract: Hold Ctrl while drawing to remove from selection.
Pro Tips
- Use the Lasso for selecting around curved objects or organic shapes.
- In Edit Mode, the Lasso selects only visible geometry by default.
