Time Remapping lets you change clip speed over time using keyframes. Create smooth speed ramps (fast-to-slow or slow-to-fast) and variable speed effects for dramatic video transitions.
Where to Find It
Right-click a clip's speed adjustment line (the flat line across the top of the clip) and choose Show Clip Keyframes > Time Remapping > Speed.
How to Use
- Keyframes: Ctrl+Click (Cmd+Click) on the speed line to add keyframes.
- Adjust: Drag the speed line between keyframes up (faster) or down (slower).
- Ramp: Drag apart the two halves of a keyframe to create a gradual speed transition.
- Reverse: Set speed to -100% for reverse playback.
Pro Tips
- Enable Optical Flow in the clip's Speed/Duration settings for smoother slow motion.
- Combine speed ramps with keyframe easing for professional-looking transitions.
