The Sculpt Brush is the primary sculpting tool in Blender, using dynamic topology (Dyntopo) or multi-resolution to add and reshape mesh geometry. It supports dozens of brush types for different sculpting effects.
Where to Find It
Available in Sculpt Mode. Press Ctrl+Tab to switch to Sculpt Mode, then select from the brush panel at the top of the viewport.
How to Use
- Select brush: Choose a brush type from the top toolbar (Clay, Smooth, Grab, Inflate, etc.).
- Sculpt: Click and drag on the mesh to apply the brush effect. Adjust strength with F key.
- Dyntopo: Enable Dynamic Topology in the top right to automatically add geometry where needed.
- Undo: Press Ctrl+Z to undo strokes.
Pro Tips
- Hold Shift to temporarily use the Smooth brush from any brush type.
- Use the F-key to resize the brush and Shift+F to adjust strength interactively.
