Depth of Field simulates camera lens focus, blurring objects in front of or behind the focal point. It adds cinematic quality and guides the viewer's eye.
Where to Find It
In the Camera Properties panel (green camera icon), find the Depth of Field section.
How to Use
- Enable: Check Depth of Field in the Camera Properties panel.
- Focus object: Set a Focus Object to automatically track a moving subject.
- F-stop: Lower F-stop values (1.4-2.8) create strong blur, higher values (8-16) keep more in focus.
- Focus distance: Adjust Focus Distance manually if no Focus Object is set.
Pro Tips
- Use F-stop 2.8 for portrait shots with pleasing background blur (bokeh).
- Enable Viewport Depth of Field to preview the effect while framing.
