Denoising removes grainy noise from Cycles renders using Intel Open Image Denoise or OptiX AI denoising. It dramatically reduces render times by allowing lower sample counts.
Where to Find It
In Render Properties > Sampling panel > Denoising section.
How to Use
- Enable: Check the Denoising box in Render Properties.
- Render: When enabled, denoising is applied after rendering completes.
- Passes: Choose between Normal Albedo or Albedo pass-based denoising.
Pro Tips
- Denoising allows you to cut render samples by 50-75% while maintaining quality.
- Use Denoising in the Compositor for more control over the denoising effect.
