The Marquee Tool creates precise selection boundaries. It can work in rectangular or elliptical mode for different selection shapes.
Where to Find It
Press M or select the Marquee Tool from the Selection group in the toolbar.
How to Use
- Draw: Click and drag to create a selection.
- Switch mode: Toggle between rectangle and ellipse in the toolbar.
- Fixed size: Set exact width and height in the options bar.
Pro Tips
- Hold Alt to draw the selection from its center.
- Use with Move Tool (V) to reposition selected pixels.
