How to normalize audio

Automatically adjust the volume of your audio clips to a consistent maximum level across your project.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Step 1: Right-click on an audio clip in the timeline.
2. Step 2: Select 'Audio Gain' (or press G).
3. Step 3: Click 'Normalize Max Peak To' and enter -3dB (for safe headroom) or 0dB (for maximum).
