How to create a new sequence

Set up the perfect timeline for your video project by creating a new sequence with the right settings.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Step 1: Go to File > New > Sequence (Ctrl+N / Cmd+N).
2. Step 2: Choose a preset based on your footage type (DSLR, DSLR 1080p, AVCHD, etc.) or start with a blank sequence.
3. Step 3: Alternatively, drag a video clip from the Project panel to the New Item icon at the bottom of the panel.
4. Step 4: Name your sequence and click OK.
