How to add transitions between clips

Smooth out your edits by adding professional video transitions between clips.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open the Effects panel (Window > Effects or Shift+7).
Step 2: Go to Video Transitions > Dissolve > Cross Dissolve.
Step 3: Drag the transition onto the edit point between two clips on the timeline.
Step 4: Adjust the duration by dragging the edge of the transition on the timeline.
