Key Settings
Slip:Monitor:
The Slip Tool changes which portion of a source clip is used without moving the clip in the timeline. The duration and position remain the same.
Where to Find It
Press Y or select from the advanced editing tools in the toolbar.
How to Use
- Slip: Click and drag left or right on a clip to shift its in/out points.
- Monitor: The Program Monitor shows the new frame at the edit point.
Pro Tips
- Use when you need better footage but cannot change timing.
- Great for finding the best take within a longer clip.
