H.265/HEVC Export provides superior compression compared to H.264, making it ideal for 4K and HDR content. It delivers the same quality at roughly half the bitrate of H.264.
Where to Find It
File > Export > Media, press Ctrl+M (Cmd+M). In the Format dropdown, choose HEVC (H.265).
How to Use
- Select format: Choose HEVC (H.265) from the Format dropdown.
- Preset: Use matching resolution preset or create custom settings.
- Bitrate: For 4K, use 20-40 Mbps (half of H.264 requirements).
- HDR: Enable HDR graphics if your source is HDR footage.
- 10-bit: Enable 10-bit encoding for smoother gradients and HDR support.
