How to Use the Shape Builder Tool

A faster, more intuitive way to combine or delete overlapping shapes compared to the Pathfinder.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Step 1: Draw several overlapping shapes and select them all.
2. Step 2: Select the Shape Builder Tool (Shift+M).
3. Step 3: Click and drag across the areas you want to merge into a single shape.
4. Step 4: Hold Alt/Option and click on an area to delete it.
5. Step 5: Press Escape or select another tool to exit the Shape Builder.
