How to Export for Web and Print

Learn the correct settings to export your vector files for digital screens versus physical printing.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Step 1: For Web: Go to File > Export > Export As. Choose PNG or JPG, select 'Use Artboards', and set Resolution to 72 ppi.
2. Step 2: For Print: Go to File > Save As and choose Adobe PDF.
3. Step 3: In the PDF preset, select '[High Quality Print]' or '[Press Quality]'.
4. Step 4: Ensure 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities' is checked if you need to edit it later.
5. Step 5: Check the 'Marks and Bleeds' tab if your design goes to the edge of the page.
