Basic rotate:Custom pivot:Precise:Alt
The Rotate Tool rotates objects around a reference point. By default it rotates around the center, but you can set a custom pivot point for precise rotations.
Where to Find It
Press R or select the Rotate icon from the toolbar.
How to Use
- Basic rotate: Select an object, then click and drag to rotate.
- Custom pivot: Click to set a pivot point, then drag to rotate around it.
- Precise: Hold Alt (Option) and click to enter exact rotation angle.
- Constrain: Hold Shift to rotate in 45-degree increments.
Pro Tips
- Set the pivot point at the edge of an object for swinging motion effects.
- Use the Transform panel for exact numeric rotation values.
