Discover and install plugins to automate tasks, generate content, and extend Figma's capabilities.
Access the Plugins menu: Right-click anywhere on the canvas, go to Plugins, or use the menu bar (Menu > Plugins). You can also press Shift+I to open the plugins panel quickly.
Browse popular plugins: Click 'Browse plugins in Community' to see the full library. Search by category (Icons, Charts, Productivity) or by name. Check ratings and install counts for quality.
Install essential plugins: Click 'Run' on a plugin to use it immediately, or click the bookmark icon to save it for later. Installed plugins appear under 'Recents' for quick access.
Must-have plugins for beginners: 'Unsplash' (free stock photos), 'Iconify' (30,000+ icons), 'Lorem Ipsum' (placeholder text), 'Autoflow' (draw connection arrows), 'Remove BG' (remove image backgrounds).
Run a plugin: Select the object(s) you want to modify, then run the plugin. Some plugins work on selections, others create new content. Follow the plugin's interface instructions.
Configure plugin settings: Many plugins have options panels. For example, Iconify lets you search and filter icons, Unsplash lets you choose image dimensions. Adjust settings before applying.
Create plugin shortcuts: For plugins you use daily, right-click the plugin name in the Recents list and select 'Add to Quick Actions'. Access them instantly with the Q key.
