- ▸Screen replacements with perspective matching
- ▸Character morphs and shape transformations
- ▸Adding glitch and distortion effects
Key Settings
Distortion Effects let you warp, bend, and reshape your layers in creative ways. Turbulent Displace creates organic liquid-like motion, Mesh Warp lets you deform images with a control grid, and Corner Pin is perfect for matching perspective on screen replacements.
Where to Find
Go to Effect > Distort to access distortion tools like Turbulent Displace, Mesh Warp, Corner Pin, Displacement Map, and Liquify.
How to Use
- Turbulent Displace: Create organic warping with noise. Adjust Amount, Size, and Evolution for different effects
- Mesh Warp: Drag control points to deform the layer like a mesh grid
- Corner Pin: Move the four corners independently to change perspective
- Displacement Map: Use one layer's brightness to displace another for complex warps
Pro Tips
- Animate the Evolution of Turbulent Displace for flowing distortion
- Use Mesh Warp for character face morphs and shape changes
- Corner Pin is excellent for screen replacements and perspective matching
- Pre-compose the layer first if you need to add distortion before other effects
